Get Your Yoga Studio Involved

Getting your studio involved in our project is an amazing way to practice your yoga on a community level.

By helping to give back to their communities, yoga students can directly experience the rewards of Karma Yoga (or self-less service) and can feel the connection between their individual journeys of self-transformation and how that personal work can have a positive impact on others.

There are 2 main ways that your studio can help out:

1. Adopt-a-Project Program allows your studio to connect directly with at-risk and incarcerated youth in your community by sponsoring a local project.

Your studio will be provided with regular updates from the host facility and program instructors, and will be able to follow the progress of the youth at that project.

2. Monthly Donations Program allows your studio to determine the amount that you will donate, each month for one year (and hopefully beyond!) and gives New Leaf Yoga Foundation the freedom to direct the funds anywhere across the country.

Funding may be used to purchase essential items on our wish list, to pay administrative and teaching staff, to continue to build our very important resource library, or to fund projects in other towns or cities that may not currently have the support of a local yoga studio.

If you have other ideas about how you’d like to help, we’d love to hear them!

For more information on how your studio can get involved, please contact us.

Help with Research

We believe it is really important to explore the benefits of teaching yoga and meditation to youth as well as to investigate the effectiveness of our programs.

New Leaf Yoga Foundation is working to develop a research committee which will dedicate itself to carrying out this part of our mission.

If you are a yoga or meditation instructor already working with at-risk or incarcerated youth and would like to get involved by participating in our research initiatives, contact us to find out more.

If you are skilled at creating and implementing research methods, or are conducting related academic research, please contact us for more information.
